Durable Fencing Solutions

Our Fencing installations handle Metro Vancouver’s wet, windy weather. We set posts deep and use quality materials so your fence stays upright through every season.

When gaps appear or posts lean, your yard feels less secure. We build fences with no weak points. You get a solid barrier that keeps pets in and gives you peace of mind.

Coverage in Hatzic

We also build sturdy fencing for homeowners in Hatzic, where exterior maintenance matters. A well-built fence means less work for you.

Hatzic properties stay damp, which can warp weak materials. Our fencing resists moisture and rot, so you repair it less often. It’s an upgrade that lasts and improves your yard’s privacy and look.

Fence Permit Requirements

In the City of Vancouver, fences for detached and duplex homes usually do not need a permit if they follow Section 10 height limits: up to 1.9 m in required side and rear yards, and up to 1.2 m in required front yards. Taller front-yard fences may need a conditional development permit from the Director of Planning. Height is measured from ground level at the fence line. Special rules apply when a fence is near or above a retaining wall, which can lower the allowed fence height.

In the City of Burnaby, residential fences usually do not need a building permit but must follow zoning height limits: fences up to 1.07 m can be located anywhere, including the required front yard, while fences up to 1.8 m can be located anywhere behind the required front yard. Height is measured from the average grade within 900 mm on both sides of the fence, with specific rules when a fence is above a retaining wall.

In the City of North Vancouver, fences in RS and RT residential zones are treated as accessory structures. Fences up to 1.22 m can be placed anywhere on a lot, while fences up to 1.829 m must be behind the front face of the main building. Fences higher than 1.829 m must follow setback distances from lot lines. Any structure over 0.914 m must respect sightline triangles at street and lane intersections and driveways.
