Paragon
After the rain, trapped water continues to soak into the deck. This moisture leads to staining, soft spots, and slippery algae on the boards. A small crack can quickly escalate into a larger repair.
A new vinyl membrane revitalizes an older deck without a full teardown. It provides a clean, uniform finish that conceals years of wear. The surface is easy to clean and remains comfortable underfoot during warm weather.

Keep Your Deck Dry
A cracked vinyl surface lets water pool underneath. That trapped moisture rots the substrate and ruins the deck from below. A properly installed Vinyl Deck Membrane stops water from getting in.
Our crews weld the seams into one continuous, watertight sheet. Rain slides off instead of soaking through. Your deck stays safe and usable year-round in Metro Vancouver’s wet climate.
Homeowners in Dunbar-Southlands trust us for tough vinyl deck membranes. We keep their outdoor spaces dry through relentless coastal rain.
Small gaps in deck surfaces let hidden moisture spread fast. Our seamless membrane keeps water out before it can cause rot. We protect what you have built.
Vinyl Membrane Specifications
The membrane is made of a strong PVC sheet with a polyester layer for added tear strength. It comes in standard, premium, and fire-rated grades, which differ in thickness and UV resistance. The surface can be smooth or embossed to help prevent slips.
To install, first clean and prime the surface. Then, stick the membrane down using a bonding adhesive applied with a trowel. Overlaps are sealed with a hot-air gun to make a watertight sheet. Metal edges and drip flashing are added before finishing the deck surface.
The membrane acts as the main drainage surface, guiding water off the deck edge. The surface is sloped to ensure proper drainage and avoid water pooling. Flashing at the building wall is placed behind the siding’s weather barrier to keep a continuous drainage path.
Ventilated edges and a separation layer help control vapor and condensation. Fastening around the perimeter with full adhesion allows the sheet to expand and contract with temperature changes, keeping the waterproof seal intact throughout the year.
Permit and Noise Regulations
In the City of Surrey, construction noise from installing a vinyl deck membrane is allowed only from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, including holidays. Hired trades cannot make noise on Sundays unless they have a noise extension permit.
If vinyl deck membrane installation in Surrey needs to happen outside these hours, a Noise Extension Bylaw Permit is required before starting work. This permit needs an application, a fee, and any required documents.
In the City of Vancouver, a building permit is needed before starting any deck work that involves resurfacing with a vinyl membrane, especially if guards or structure are affected. Deck and balcony guards must follow building code standards, and existing guards can stay only if they are safe and sound.
