The City’s Noise Control By-law No. 6555 limits construction noise on private property to 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays. No work is allowed on Sundays or holidays unless you get a special exception permit. For installing patio covers and pergolas, contractors must plan noisy tasks like cutting and framing within these hours.
