The solution is a capped polymer shell that bonds to a dense recycled core. This shell repels rain and resists fading. The core remains strong without warping or splintering. You get a deck that dries quickly after storms and doesn’t need sanding or staining to stay safe underfoot.
West End decks face some of the heaviest rainfall in Metro Vancouver. They often get little direct sun to help with drying. A wood deck can stay damp for days after a storm, which is perfect for rot and moss to grow.
Homes in West End include many older low-rise apartments and character houses. These often have compact balconies and rooftop decks. Those tight spaces trap moisture against railings and siding, so the deck surface needs to stay dry and stable without constant upkeep.
Composite Board Specifications
